Team Antigua & Barbuda and the US Series

January 2023

The Rum Runners close out their time in the United States with four trips to the podium!

Team Antigua & Barbuda finished their American season with a string of impressive results. The team finished their first regatta ever with a 1st place spot on the podium in Pensacola, two consecutive 2nd places in Miami, and 3rd place in their fourth and final regatta in Miami, Florida.

The team's success can be attributed to their talent and passion for the 69F class. The team had been working hard to improve their skills and techniques leading up to these regattas in Florida, and it paid off in the results they achieved in their time in Miami and Pensacola.

"We are thrilled with our results in the past few regattas," said skipper Rocco Falcone. "It just goes to show that hard work pays off and a good team dynamic is crucial to consistent results. We are constantly striving to maintain constructive and clear communication onboard and it's been great to see our efforts paying off."

"Our success in these four regattas is just the beginning," said the mainsail trimmer, Filippo Amonti. "We are looking forward to the upcoming regattas in Europe and are determined to achieve even greater success.”

The team is looking forward to the upcoming sailing season in Europe with their first race in Valencia on April 25th, 2023.
